Dr. Mohammed Salim Karattuthodi serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman, UAE. He is a clinically trained academician and researcher with expertise in pharmacy practice education and pharmacoepidemiology. With experience across academic and clinical settings, he is dedicated to advancing evidence-based pharmacy practice, research-led education, and collaborative healthcare delivery.
Dr. Salim holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmacy Practice and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. He has received advanced training in Good Clinical Practice and Pharmacovigilance, reflecting his strong foundation in clinical research and drug safety. His academic and research interests focus on antimicrobial stewardship, drug safety, clinical pharmacy services, health information technology, and pharmacy education. Dr. Salim has an active research portfolio, with numerous publications in international peer-reviewed journals, along with contributions to systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and pharmacoepidemiologic studies. He has collaborated with national and international researchers on multidisciplinary projects and has contributed to academic book chapters, including work on artificial intelligence in clinical and hospital pharmacy.
