Dr. Mohammed A. Abushohada is an internationally accomplished academic, healthcare strategist, and thought leader in healthcare management, public health, and AI-enabled healthcare innovation. He currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Thumbay College of Management and AI in Healthcare, Gulf Medical University, where he contributes extensively to teaching, research, academic leadership, and institutional development.

With a Ph.D. in Hospital Administration, institute of Hospital Administration and Health Economics, Helwan University. An M.Sc. in Health Services Management, The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and a B.Sc. in Pharmacy, Jordan University of Science and Technology, Dr. Abushohada brings a rare interdisciplinary perspective that bridges clinical knowledge, health systems leadership, policy, and digital transformation. Over the course of his career, he has taught and developed more than 23 undergraduate and postgraduate courses across healthcare management, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health informatics, quality and patient safety, healthcare economics, occupational health and safety, and AI applications in healthcare.

Dr. Abushohada has held several senior academic and administrative leadership roles in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, including Head of the Health & Lab Sciences Department, Program Leader, Deputy Dean for Faculty Affairs, and Human Capital and Accreditation Consultant. He has played a pivotal role in CAA accreditation readiness, ADEK thematic reviews, curriculum innovation, program development, and institutional quality assurance, contributing directly to regulatory compliance and academic excellence.

Dr. Abushohada is deeply engaged in research addressing contemporary challenges in healthcare systems. His scholarly work spans AI in healthcare, digital health transformation, quality and patient safety, healthcare leadership, public health policy, epidemiology, and sustainability. He has published extensively in Q1 and Q2 indexed journals, contributed to Springer conference proceedings, and serves as a peer reviewer for leading international journals in healthcare, public health, and psychology.

Beyond academia, Dr. Abushohada is a NEBOSH-certified professional, ACHE member, and holder of advanced emergency and clinical safety certifications (ACLS, PALS, BLS, CPR). His professional mission centers on developing future healthcare leaders, advancing ethically grounded AI adoption, and strengthening resilient, data-driven, and patient-centered health systems aligned with national and global health priorities.
