Prof. Mayssah El Nayal is professor of clinical psychology and personality at the College of Medicine, the chairperson of General Education Department and the director of the Student Wellbeing Center Gulf Medical University, Ajman. She attained a grant at the University of London, UK, and completed her PhD in Psychology at the University of Alexandria. Throughout her academic career, she also assumed numerous administrative posts, such as the Head of the Mental Health Department, University of Qatar; Head of the Psychology Department, University of Alexandria; Consultant of Children and Youth Education at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina; Consultant at the Egyptian Psychology Association; and Consultant at the Egyptian Organization for Children with Special Needs. More recently, she assumed the post of Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences at Beirut Arab University, Lebanon.
She has authored over 100 published papers in indexed journals and books in the fields of social psychology, women’s psychology, and child and adolescent psychology, among others. Her areas of interest include personality, mental health, and clinical psychology. Additionally, she supervises postgraduate student research projects.
