Dr. Eman Hassan is an Associate Professor of Pathology in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, College of Medicine, Gulf Medical University, where she has been a faculty member since 2016. She is the Lead Faculty of Pathology, overseeing the design, coordination, and delivery of pathology courses across multiple programs. She is also the Year 3 BBMS Coordinator, guiding students through the third-year Biomedical Sciences curriculum.
Dr. Eman graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Al-Azhar University, Egypt, where she also completed her postgraduate studies and was awarded both Master’s (MSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Pathology.
With over 22 years of teaching experience, she has contributed significantly to both traditional and integrated medical curricula. She is highly engaged in student-centered learning methodologies, including Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Virtual Patient Learning (VPL), and Team-Based Learning (TBL), Dry Lab and is actively involved in small-group teaching sessions.
Dr. Eman strongly believes that the cornerstone of effective teaching is building strong, respectful, and collaborative relationships with students. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes open communication, mutual respect, and creating a supportive learning environment that encourages students to ask questions, clarify doubts, and actively engage with complex medical concepts.
In addition to her academic role, Dr. Eman holds professional clinical credentials. She was awarded the Ministry of Health (MOH) Doctor Evaluation Certificate as a Specialist in Anatomic Pathology by the Ministry of Health, UAE, in 2016.
Dr. Eman is also deeply committed to community engagement and student development. She actively participates in organizing community outreach programs, student symposia, and academic events. She has attended numerous international conferences, training programs, workshops, and continuing professional development activities, ensuring she remains current with advances in pathology and medical education.
As a research mentor, Dr. Eman supervises both undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. She has authored and co-authored multiple publications in national and international indexed journals. Her primary research interests include Thyroid, Endometrial, Gastric and Breast Pathology.
