Dr. Dina M. Makawi is an Assistant Professor of Oral Histopathology with over 15 years of experience at Misr International University, Cairo, Egypt. She earned both her Master’s (2016) and PhD (2021) in Oral Biology from Cairo University, where she achieved high-ranking grades of A- for both advanced degrees. Driven by a passion for modernizing dental education, she was awarded the prestigious FAIMER Fellowship of Medical and Health Profession Education (2023-2025) through Intealth USA (FAIMER regional institute ASU-MENA-FRI Ain Shams University), a role she used to develop and implement innovative digital teaching tools, such as an interactive practical eBook for dental students.
Beyond the classroom, Dr. Makawi is a deeply involved researcher and leader; she has served as a speaker at several international dental conferences and has undergone workshops training in the field of regenerative dentistry and Stem cell therapy. She Also held many administrative roles as she was a Member of several committees at Misr International University, Egypt; including scheduling committee, control committee and the internal audit committee.
