Jose I. Emparanza, MD PhD Is a Pediatrician and Clinical epidemiologist. Head of the Clinical Epidemiology Unit at the Hospital Universitario Donostia, a 1000-bed tertiary hospital, serving a 700.000 pop, Public Health professor (Basque Country University) and Chairman of the Ethical Review Board of Gipuzkoa (Spain) Main tasks: to lead the Basque Group for Clinical Epidemiology and EBM research within the CIBER-ESP; to conduct our own research in collaboration with other Spanish or international groups; to teach Clinical Epidemiology, Medical Decision Making, Stats, and EBM (critical appraisal…); to give support to clinical research projects in design, management, data acquisition, data analysis and disseminating the results.
