Dr. Sabrin Ali Azim
Dr. Sabrin Ali Azim is an Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University, Ajman. She graduated from Azerbaijan Medical University in 2010 and went on to receive her Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Azerbaijan Medical University, Azerbaijan. Dr. Sabrin completed her clinical oral and maxillofacial surgery training at AKH University in Vienna, Austria, and Capa University, Istanbul, Turkey.
Before moving to the UAE, Dr. Sabrin held various academic and clinical positions in Azerbaijan. and has worked as an Assistant Professor and Specialist of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at different universities in the UAE.
Dr. Sabrin has also been involved as a subject matter expert in building different e-learning platforms that serve dental students and professionals. Additionally, she has provided consultation services to private and governmental dental colleges seeking national and international trainings and MOUs. Dr. Sabrin has organized different speciality-related trainings and collaborations between organizations, including MOUs between Azerbaijan Medical University and universities in the UAE and Pakistan, and an MOU between SOS Children’s Village Azerbaijan and ALIM scientific association in France.
In research, Dr. Sabrin has over 27 publications in internationally recognized journals, with her research focus on the applications of recent technologies in dentistry, the efficacy of sedation depending on the diet of the population, antibiotic therapy and offstage about COVID-19 vaccinations, and COVID-19 and stem cells in dentistry.
Furthermore, Dr. Sabrin has a passion for community service, which has led her to organize and participate as a volunteer with different organizations in the UAE, such as Special Olympics UAE, Friends of Cancer, Breast Cancer (Pink October), Volunteers UAE (Sanid), and the Red Crescent.
