On Wednesday February 11, 2026, the College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University welcomed its esteemed industry partners during the joint GMU Career Fair-Industry Partners Meet 2026 event, underscoring its commitment to foster robust academic-industry synergies designed to propel the next generation of pharmacy leaders into the workforce. The fair served as a high-impact networking hub, linking ambitious students and alumni directly with influential organizations across the healthcare and pharmaceutical landscapes.

The 2026 Meet introduced high-level intellectual exchange, highlighted by a series of panel discussions, beginning with a Human Resources Panel, featuring Tabuk Pharmaceuticals and Boehringer Ingelheim as pharmacy representatives. The conversations focused on the evolving needs of the modern workforce and discussing the integration of AI and digital transformation in healthcare, the necessity of interdisciplinary skills, and the critical competencies required for graduates to thrive in an automated era.
A following panel involved The Deans’ Academic Vision, featuring Professor Muhammad Al-Shorbagy, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, who showcased the variable undergraduate and postgraduate programs available at College of Pharmacy GMU. Professor Al-Shorbagy declared that “we are graduating pharmacists who are Industry ready, not only practice ready” and further explained how these programs are designed to graduate pharmacists equipped with competence, adaptability, and ethical grounding, and are in alignment with global pharmaceutical practice requirements and industry expectations.
The fair offered a vibrant environment for dialogue, learning and professional discovery where students and alumni engaged in one-on-one consultations with industry leaders, gaining a competitive edge through firsthand knowledge of emerging pharmaceutical market trends and potential career pathways.
