College of Pharmacy students from Gulf Medical University actively participated in the 31st edition of the Dubai International Pharmaceuticals and Technologies Conference and Exhibition (DUPHAT), held in Dubai from August 25 to 27, 2026. As a cornerstone event in the pharmaceutical industry, DUPHAT brought together leading manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, pharmacists, healthcare professionals, educators, and students from across the UAE and the region to showcase innovative research in health, biomedical sciences, clinical pharmacy, and pharmaceutical practice.
Throughout the event, GMU pharmacy students demonstrated outstanding research achievements and academic excellence through multiple poster presentations. Our students Rayan Ali, Roudina Waleed, and Shahd Jalal successfully received an award for the third place in the “Best poster presentation competition”. The poster award was for their research project titled “Imposter Phenomenon and its psychological correlates among Arab university students: A multinational cross-sectional study” that is supervised by Dr. Diana Malaeb, Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at College of Pharmacy GMU.
This active participation and outstanding achievement underscore the College of Pharmacy’s strong commitment to fostering research, innovation, and scholarly excellence, and further reflecting the Gulf Medical University’s dedication to empowering the next generation of leaders in biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences.
