GMU Clinical Pharmacy Master Classes on Clinical Research & Meta-Analysis

GMU Clinical Pharmacy Master Classes Info

The GMU Clinical Pharmacy Master Classes held in 2026 brought together clinical pharmacists, faculty, and healthcare professionals for a focused series on clinical research and meta-analysis. Delivered through the Gulf Medical University (GMU) Academic Health System, the sessions reflected the College of Pharmacy’s expanding leadership in clinical pharmacy services at Thumbay University Hospital. Each master class combined evidence-based practice with real-world clinical application, ensuring that participants gained both foundational knowledge and advanced practice insights relevant to contemporary clinical pharmacy research.

Across the two events, more than 200 participants attended each session from the Middle East and Asia, demonstrating the regional demand for high-quality, practice-oriented pharmacy education. The sessions emphasized the types of clinical research, critical appraisal of evidence, and the application of evidence in practice. Faculty and clinical pharmacists facilitated research-based discussions, article reviews, and practical demonstrations to ensure that learning translated directly into improved evidence-based care.
