On February 18, 2026, the College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University conducted a focused career advising session titled “Roadmap to Clinical Pharmacy Residency in the UAE.” The session was delivered by Dr. Said Nabil, Clinical Lecturer and Preceptor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at GMU. Drawing on his extensive academic background and residency training, Dr. Said provided students with a comprehensive overview of the clinical pharmacy residency landscape in the UAE. He highlighted key components of the residency application process, essential competencies for aspiring clinical pharmacists, and strategies to strengthen candidates’ professional profiles. The session attracted strong participation from students across academic levels, who engaged in thoughtful discussions and sought guidance on preparing for competitive residency programs. This initiative reflects GMU’s ongoing commitment to supporting students’ career development and preparing future pharmacists for specialized and evolving roles within the healthcare system.
