The College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University was proudly represented by Mr. Iyad Ghazal, a Master’s in Clinical Pharmacy student, who presented his thesis work as a poster presentation at the GCC Pharmacy Congress, held in Dubai on October 31 – November 1, 2025.
Supervised by Dr. Diana Malaeb, Mr. Ghazal’s research, titled “Efficacy and Safety of Ertapenem Dosing in Patients with ESBL-Producing Enterobacterales Infections Utilizing Renal Replacement Therapies,” has been published in a Q2-ranked, peer-reviewed international journal.
His participation highlights the academic rigor and research excellence cultivated within the College of Pharmacy. It also underscores Gulf Medical University’s ongoing commitment to advancing clinical pharmacy education and fostering impactful research that addresses pressing healthcare challenges across the region.
