The College of Pharmacy is delighted to celebrate that Dr. Diana Malaeb and her Master in Clinical Pharmacy Alumni Ms. May Gamal in collaboration with international members received the International Pharmaceutical Federation and Early Career Pharmaceutical Group Grant 2026. The project titled ”Comparative Analysis of Generative Large Language Models Versus Clinical Pharmacist Expert Opinion in Local Antimicrobial Stewardship Guidelines”. The College of Pharmacy is proud to announce that it is the second International Pharmaceutical Federation grant that the college received in the past two years after receival of the first grant in July 2024. This achievement highlights the growing international recognition of our institution’s research excellence and its commitment to fostering impactful research.
The award, presented by the FIP Foundation for Education and Research and Early Career Pharmaceutical Group recognizes innovative research proposals that have the potential to advance clinical pharmacy practice and improve healthcare globally. Following a rigorous international review process, Dr. Malaeb’s proposal was selected for funding, reflecting the scientific excellence, innovation, and potential impact of the research.
As part of this prestigious award, the project will receive financial support to facilitate its implementation. In addition, the grant recipient will be formally recognized during the Opening Ceremony of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) World Congress 2026 in Montreal, Canada. Upon successful completion of the project, the findings will also be showcased at the FIP World Congress 2027 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, providing an important platform for international scientific dissemination.
