On January 28, 2026, the College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University organized an engaging career advising session titled “Redefining Pharmacy Careers: Exploring Non‑Traditional Roles After Graduation” hosting a GMU PharmD alumnus; Dr. Fawaz Abdulazeez. The event drew a diverse audience, including faculty members and a strong student participation from various academic levels. Dr. Fawaz highlighted his dynamic journey across pharmaceutical consulting and data analytics, as well as pharmaceutical distribution and healthcare operations in the Middle East. As a current “Client Engagement Specialist and Warehouse Manager” at HealthNet MEA, he also shared practical insights on emerging career pathways and the expanding pharmacy scopes beyond conventional practices. The session featured interactive and engaging discussions, questions and reflections for students’ career preparation, which totally underscores GMU’s commitment to preparing future pharmacists for the diverse and evolving roles in the healthcare system.
