GMU-IVPN Student Club Kicks Off New Mandate With College-Wide Orientations

GMU-IVPN Student Club Orientations

With the beginning of the new academic year of 2026-2027, the GMU-IVPN Student Club has officially commenced its new mandate under its newly elected executive committee. During the first three weeks of the academic year, the club successfully conducted orientation sessions across all pharmacy cohorts, welcoming both new and returning students and introducing them to the club’s vision, objectives, and organizational structure.

The sessions provided students with an overview of the GMU-IVPN Student Club and its role in promoting professional development, student engagement, and collaborative learning within the College of Pharmacy. Students were also introduced to highlights from previous club activities and events, providing an insight into the range of educational, professional, and engagement initiatives organized by the club.

Additionally, students across all the college programs were introduced to the various committees available within the club, which are aligned with the executive roles of Projects Officer, Media Officer, Student Engagement Officer, and External Relations Officer. Students were encouraged to become actively involved as committee members, contributing to the planning and organization of events, campaigns, and other club initiatives. The sessions also highlighted the opportunities and benefits available to students who join the club as attending members, allowing them to participate in activities and engage with the club’s initiatives throughout the academic year.

The orientation sessions also provided students with an overview of the club’s upcoming calendar and planned initiatives, starting with the recognition of “World Patient Safety Day”. These initiatives reflect the club’s continued commitment to creating opportunities for students to engage in meaningful educational, professional, and community-focused activities.

With the new mandate officially underway, the GMU-IVPN Student Club looks forward to building upon its previous initiatives while continuing to foster professional development, student leadership, collaboration, and meaningful engagement among students across the College of Pharmacy throughout the academic year.
