In support of the National Seasonal Flu Awareness campaign, the GMU-IVPN Student Club hosted a health awareness campaign on September 24, 2025, at Thumbay University Hospital to educate the community on the importance of the influenza vaccination.
The event emphasized that vaccination remains the most effective way to reduce the spread of influenza, protect vulnerable groups, and lessen the strain on healthcare systems during flu season. For the IVPN-GMU Student Club, raising awareness about vaccination is not only a matter of disease prevention but also a responsibility future pharmacists share in safeguarding community health.
This student-led initiative successfully translated complex medical information into an accessible and engaging format. By directly interacting with patients, visitors, and staff, the GMU-IVPN Student Club played a vital role in supporting national health goals and demonstrated the crucial function of future pharmacists in public health education and advocacy.
