Dr. Juny Sebastian, Chair and Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice, Gulf Medical University, was invited as an expert speaker by the Department of Pharmacy Practice, JSS College of Pharmacy, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Ooty, during its 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week 2025 celebrations on 22nd September 2025.

On 22nd September 2025, Dr. Juny led a session on “Vaccine Safety Surveillance” as part of the academic activities under the theme “Your Safety, just a Click Away: Report to Pharmacovigilance Program of India (PvPI).” The session emphasized the significance of Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFIs), their classification with practical examples, and the processes of AEFI reporting, investigation, and causality assessment within the Indian context. The interactive session was well received by participants, who actively engaged with the practical insights shared.
