The College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University welcomed Mr. Hesham Elwaleed Ahmed Mahdy from Future University in Egypt (FUE) on 1 July 2026 for a one-month clinical pharmacy training program. Mr. Hesham is currently undertaking his clinical rotation at Thumbay University Hospital (TUH), Ajman.
The program is designed to strengthen clinical knowledge and provide valuable exposure to international healthcare practices. Throughout the rotation, students participate in a wide range of clinical pharmacy activities, including observing clinical pharmacy services at TUH, reviewing patient medical records, joining multidisciplinary ward rounds alongside physicians and clinical pharmacists, and taking part in interactive case-based discussions.
This collaboration highlights GMU’s ongoing commitment to excellence in pharmacy education and the development of meaningful international academic partnerships. By offering hands-on clinical training in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment, the program supports the professional development of future pharmacists and prepares them to meet the evolving demands of modern healthcare.
