Final-Year NUST Pharmacy Students

AJMAN, UAE — Final-year Bachelor of Pharmacy students from the National University of Science & Technology (NUST) have officially commenced a one-month clinical training program at Thumbay University Hospital, part of the Gulf Medical University (GMU)-TUH Health System.

As part of their final-year experiential education, trainees are working alongside expert clinical pharmacists to gain hands-on clinical experience. Their daily responsibilities include reviewing complex medical cases, conducting medication history assessments, performing medication reconciliation, verifying prescriptions, and delivering comprehensive medication discharge counseling to patients under thorough supervision.

Organized by the GMU College of Pharmacy, this initiative underscores the university’s mission to foster academic collaboration and provide top-tier clinical education to both its own students and visiting scholars from universities across the UAE and internationally.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

SDG 4: Quality Education; SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
