College of Pharmacy Faculty and Students Participate in the Middle East Heart Failure Conference

The College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University (GMU) demonstrated a commendable academic presence through the active participation of its faculty and students at the Middle East Heart Failure Conference, held on 16–18 January in Dubai, one of the region’s leading scientific conferences in cardiovascular medicine.

The College was represented by Dr. Said Nabil, faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, who presented a joint session and scientific poster focusing on contemporary topics in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy and heart failure management. Students from the College of Pharmacy also participated in the conference and presented their research, gaining valuable exposure to current clinical practices, research advancements, and interdisciplinary collaboration in cardiology. The research presented by the Master in Clinical Pharmacy student Ms. May Gamal in collaboration with the PharmD student Ms. Nikita Sunil under the supervision of Dr. Diana Malaeb reflects on the burden and predictors of clinically significant drug-drug interactions among cardiovascular patients.
