On Saturday 25th of June 2022, College Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences was delighted to participate in hosting school students from GEMS Schools to join the “GMU – Future Scientist of UAE” program 2022. Dr. Eman E-labbad, Assistant professor of Medicinal Chemistry, introduced the high school students to: “Application of Computer Aided Simulation in Drug Discovery”.
The students enjoyed the hands-on tutorial on 3D visualization of different macromolecules.
Dean Khalifa commented: “It is amazing to see how these young minds can develop true interest and passion in research and drug discovery at such a young age. At the College of Pharmacy, we believe that it is part of our mission to inculcate scientific curiosity as early as possible in those who will be in charge of the world one day not very far from now!”
