Dr. Jisha Myalil Lucca, Assistant Professor, College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University (GMU), delivered a guest lecture on “Opioid Stewardship” at Nirmala College of Pharmacy, Kerala, India on August 11, 2026.
The session highlighted the importance of safe and responsible opioid use, appropriate prescribing, patient monitoring, risk mitigation, and the role of pharmacists in promoting evidence-based pain management and patient safety. The lecture provided an opportunity for meaningful academic exchange with pharmacy students and faculty and reinforced GMU’s commitment to professional engagement, quality education, and knowledge sharing.
