Dr. Dina Farouk Sayed Online Research Seminar

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, the College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University hosted an Online Faculty Research Seminar delivered by Dina Farouk Sayed Mansour, Professor of Pharmacology at Galala University. The session was attended by faculty members and graduate students from the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department and related programs.

Titled “The Undruggable Targets in Liver Disease: New Trends and Insights to Drug Delivery and Development,” the seminar addressed emerging strategies for targeting previously considered “undruggable” molecular pathways in liver diseases. Professor Mansour discussed recent advances in pharmacology, molecular targeting, and innovative drug delivery systems that are opening new therapeutic opportunities. She highlighted the role of translational research, nanotechnology-based delivery platforms, and precision pharmacology in overcoming biological barriers and enhancing therapeutic efficacy.

The seminar concluded with an interactive discussion session, during which faculty members and students explored challenges in targeting complex liver pathologies, regulatory considerations, and future directions in pharmaceutical innovation. The event reinforced the College’s commitment to advancing cutting-edge research and fostering academic collaboration in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
