College of Pharmacy Hosts Comprehensive Session on Pharmacy Licensing and Practice in the UAE

Pharmacy Licensing and Practice Session
The College of Pharmacy hosted an engaging and informative session titled “Pharmacy Licensing and Practice in the UAE: A Complete Guide for Aspiring Pharmacists” on Friday, May 22, 2026, for pharmacy students seeking better understanding of professional licensing pathways within the United Arab Emirates.

The session featured distinguished alumni speakers, including Dr. Fathima Sheik Kather, Dr. Ola Ismail, and Dr. Farah Alsafadi, who shared their professional experiences and valuable insights into pharmacy practice and licensure in the UAE.

The session provided students with a comprehensive overview of the pharmacy licensing landscape in the UAE, covering the registration pathways through MOH, DHA, and DOH. Through real-life experiences and practical guidance, the speakers discussed licensing examinations, application requirements, career preparation, and professional expectations for aspiring pharmacists.

Attendees gained a clearer understanding of the steps required to transition from pharmacy graduates to licensed healthcare practitioners within the UAE healthcare sector. The interactive discussion also allowed students to ask questions and benefit from the firsthand experiences of alumni who successfully navigated these licensing systems.

The College of Pharmacy is proud to have alumni serving in distinguished professional positions across the healthcare sector and remains committed to supporting its students through mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and career development initiatives that inspire future pharmacists to achieve professional excellence.
