College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University Signs Landmark MoU with Emirates Pharmacy Society

On October 1st, 2025, Gulf Medical University (GMU) proudly signed of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Emirates Pharmacy Society (EPS), marking the first collaboration of its kind between EPS and an academic institution in the UAE.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Manda Venkatramana, Chancellor, Gulf Medical University, and Dr. Abdulla Khalfan Saeed Al Kindi, Head of Department at Emirates Health Services (EHS) and President of Emirates Pharmacy Society, and whitnessed by of Prof. Muhammad Al-Shorbagy, Dean of the College of Pharmacy. The signing ceremony coincided with the celebration of World Pharmacists Day 2025.

This partnership represents a significant step in preparing GMU pharmacy students for significant roles in healthcare and pharmacy both nationally and regionally. It reaffirms the College’s commitment to academic excellence, and community service, while contributing to national healthcare objectives in line with the highest professional standards.

Through this collaboration, GMU pharmacy students will benefit from enhanced training and career development opportunities, including access to specialized workshops, seminars, and continuous professional development programs led by industry experts. Additionally, students will gain broader networking opportunities, strengthening their employability and career growth, aligned with the UAE’s vision for advancing healthcare.
