On May 4, 2026, the College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University hosted an interactive online career advising session titled “Exploring Pharma Marketing: A GMU Alumni Career Blueprint.” The session featured two distinguished GMU alumni: Dr. Reem Saab, Therapeutic Area Partner (ASCVD) at Novartis Gulf – UAE & Dr. Yoanna Abdelmalek, Key Account Manager at ViiV Healthcare (GSK), UK. The session introduced students to the rapidly expanding field of pharmaceutical marketing in the UAE, emphasizing how pharmacists can build impactful careers in health-care related corporate roles. The speakers discussed the fundamentals of pharma marketing, entry pathways, essential competencies, daily responsibilities, and practical tips for early‑career success. The event drew strong participation from students across academic levels, who engaged actively in discussions about navigating non‑traditional pharmacy career trajectories.
