Report on Career Advising Session, Spring 2026

The College of Nursing conducted a career advising session titled Career Conversations: Interview Skills for Emerging and Advancing Nurses in a hybrid format, with active participation from students attending both in person and online. The session brought together BSN,  RN-BSN and MSN students, creating a meaningful space for shared learning and reflection. Led by Dr. Jijo Varghese, Nurse Leader at Sheikh Khalifa Hospital, Fujairah, the session focused on preparing students to approach interviews with confidence, clarity, and professionalism.

The session was highly interactive, with students engaging enthusiastically in role plays, mock interview scenarios, and guided discussions. Practical advice was shared on interview preparation, professional communication, and presenting oneself effectively in both entry-level and advanced career roles. Students found the session enjoyable, relevant, and beneficial, gaining insights that will support their transition into professional practice and career advancement. In recognition of his valuable contribution, Dr. Jijo Varghese was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation, marking a fruitful conclusion to the session.
