Report of Convocation Ceremony 2025

The Gulf Medical University proudly hosted its ‘Convocation Ceremony’ on 19th November 2025, celebrating the academic accomplishments and professional readiness of its graduating students. The event marked a significant milestone for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) 2021 Cohort and Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN) 2023 Cohort, recognizing their perseverance, dedication, and commitment to the nursing profession.

The ceremony commenced with a formal academic procession comprising the faculty members and graduating students, which took place following the arrival of distinguished guests. The event was graced by Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi’, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council and Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President of the Thumbay Group.

The Chancellor officially opened the ceremony, addressing the gathering and acknowledging the hard work, discipline, and perseverance demonstrated by the graduates. Graduates from the BSN and RN-BSN programs were invited to the stage to receive their degree certificates, each being recognized for their dedication and academic efforts.

Recognition of Graduating Cohorts

The 2025 convocation celebrated the successful completion of studies by:

  • BSN Program: 40 graduates, of whom 11 students were awarded Honours for their outstanding academic performance and professional excellence.
  • RN-BSN Program: 12 graduates, including 5 students who achieved Honours, demonstrating exemplary dedication and scholarly achievement.

The accomplishments of the Honours graduates were formally recognized, and each was presented with a certificate of distinction.

Graduates from both programs were invited to the stage individually to receive their degree certificates. Each student was congratulated on their accomplishments and encouraged to continue upholding the professional values, ethical standards, and compassionate care principles fostered by the College of Nursing. This segment of the ceremony was deeply meaningful, filled with pride and emotion for graduates, their families, and the faculty members who guided them throughout their academic journey.

Towards the conclusion of the ceremony, the graduates collectively took the Graduation Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the highest standards of ethical, compassionate, and evidence-based practice.

The event concluded with the return parade of faculty and students, symbolizing both the completion of their academic journey and their transition into the professional domain of nursing.

The Convocation Ceremony held on 19th November 2025 was a memorable and significant event that celebrated not only academic excellence but also the transition of graduates into the professional realm of nursing. The College of Nursing extends its sincere congratulations to all graduates and Honours awardees and looks forward to their continued contributions to the healthcare profession.
