The College of Nursing, Gulf Medical University participated in the 3rd Research Day organized by Al Amal Hospital on 15 January 2026 in Dubai. The event was attended by 8th-semester nursing students from the College of Nursing, accompanied by Dr. Soma Ibrahim, Assistant Professor of Mental Health Nursing & Dr. Mansani Abdelbagi, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing, as part of an academic enrichment and experiential learning activity.
Dr. Soma Ibrahim was invited by Ms. Hessa Abdulqader, Assistant Director of Nursing Affairs, to serve as a Judge for the Poster Presentation session. Her participation contributed to the academic evaluation of research posters and reflected the College of Nursing’s active engagement in scholarly and research-oriented activities in collaboration with clinical institutions.
The research day featured a large number of high-quality poster presentations demonstrating strong scholarly rigor, relevance to mental health and broader healthcare practice, and clear scientific communication. Attendance with the 8th-semester nursing students provided a valuable learning experience, enabling students to observe research dissemination, engage in academic discussions, and gain insight into the role of research in evidence-based nursing practice. The students benefited significantly from exposure to a professional research environment and the opportunity to observe applied research within a clinical setting.
Overall, the 3rd Research Day at Al Amal Hospital was a well-organized and academically enriching event. It provided an excellent platform for faculty engagement, student learning, and the promotion of a strong research culture. Such collaborative initiatives strengthen academic–clinical partnerships and contribute meaningfully to the academic and professional development of nursing students.
