Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman, proudly celebrated the exceptional achievements of its alumni at the GMU Alumni Summit 2025, held on 23rd November 2025 in the vibrant Thumbay Medicity campus, Ajman, UAE. The gathering served as a testament to the continued excellence, dedication, and professional contributions of GMU graduates to the healthcare sector and the community at large.
The College of Nursing Alumni enthusiastically participated in the Summit, taking the opportunity to reconnect with one another, share success stories, and reflect on professional challenges that shaped their journey. Mr Ramzi Turki from 2019 RNBSN Cohort, currently working as a Nursing Supervisor in Dubai Hospital, participated in the interprofessional Panel Discussion. The shared experiences of the panellists served as a significant source of inspiration for current nursing students attending the summit.
A key highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the 27 GMU ICON Book, commemorating completion of 27 years of GMU, honouring distinguished alumni who have excelled in medicine, research, public health, entrepreneurship, and community impact.
This year’s summit recognized Distinguished Alumni in the categories of Leadership and Community Service, honouring individuals who have demonstrated excellence, innovation, and commitment in their respective fields. The event witnessed the presence of over 20 alumni from BSN and RN-BSN programs, reflecting strong engagement and pride in the GMU community.
In addition, Ms. Heba Faisal Omar, Program and Operations Manager at Manzil Health Services, Dubai, was felicitated for her continued service as a dedicated Alumni Board Member representing the College of Nursing, acknowledging her active involvement in alumni activities and her consistent support for institutional initiatives throughout the year.
The GMU Alumni Summit 2025 concluded on a highly positive note, reinforcing the university’s unwavering commitment to celebrating its alumni and fostering lifelong relationships. The accomplishments of this year’s awardees continue to inspire current and future nursing students, demonstrating the breadth of professional pathways and the meaningful impact GMU graduates make in the healthcare sector.
