The College of Nursing successfully organized a Faculty Development Program on MCQs (R-Type) and Script Concordance on June 12, 2025, by in-house faculty Dr. Soney M. Varghese, Faculty of CoN, GMU . This session aimed to enhance the understanding and application of MCQs (R Type) & Script Concordance in Nursing education.

The primary objective of this session was to enhance the faculty competencies in designing and implementing R–type multiple-choice questions and Script Concordance Tests, aiming to improve the assessment of clinical reasoning and decision-making skills in Nursing education.

The faculty members participated actively in the discussions and showed keen interest in integrating R-type MCQs and Script Concordance into their assessment methods. Feedback from the co-faculty highlighted that the session was insightful, well-organized, and highly applicable to their current formative assessment practices.

The Faculty Development Program on R-type MCQs and Script Concordance, conducted by Dr. Soney M. Varghese, proved to be a highly enriching and intellectually engaging session. Faculty members from the College of Nursing acquired valuable insights for effectively incorporating R-type MCQs and Script Concordance into Nursing education. The FDP session successfully achieved its objectives by enhancing faculty competencies, promoting innovative assessment approaches, and contributing to the overall improvement of Nursing education quality.
