We are delighted and honored to share that our research, “Willingness to be a Change Maker in Increasing the Uptake of HPV Vaccine among the School-Going Age Group: A Pilot Study among Teachers” was awarded Third Position in the Public Health Category at the 13th Undergraduate Research and Innovation Competition conducted by Abu Dhabi University on 21st May 2026.
This achievement is a proud milestone for our research team consisting of students from the HDPCS (Higher Diploma in Pre-Clinical Sciences) and MPH (Master of Public Health) programs.
It reflects our commitment to addressing important public health challenges through evidence-based research and innovation. The competition provided an excellent platform for undergraduate researchers to showcase their work, exchange ideas, and engage with experts and fellow researchers from diverse disciplines. The study contributes to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by promoting HPV vaccination, engaging teachers as health advocates, addressing gender-based health disparities, and fostering multidisciplinary collaborative research.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Abu Dhabi University for organizing such a prestigious and well-coordinated event that encourages young researchers to contribute meaningfully to society. The competition fostered a spirit of innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence, making it a truly enriching experience for all participants.
