Students from the Thumbay International Pathway for Medicine, College of Medicine, Gulf Medical University, successfully participated in the prestigious NAWA SPINAKER Intensive International Education Program titled “Hand in Hand. Medical Simulation – Creating Together the Best Medical Professionals for Future Patients’ Care”, hosted by the Medical University of Lublin, Poland, from 18–23 May 2026. The program was funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) and co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Social Development.
The participation of Gulf Medical University students in this international program reflects the university’s continued commitment to providing global learning opportunities, international academic engagement, and exposure to diverse healthcare education environments for its students.

During the five-day program, students participated in a variety of interactive academic and clinical training activities alongside international participants and faculty members. The experience provided valuable opportunities for intercultural exchange, collaborative learning, professional networking, and the development of teamwork and communication skills in an international setting.
The program also enabled the students to represent Gulf Medical University on a global platform while strengthening their confidence, professional outlook, and readiness for future healthcare careers. Participation in such international initiatives highlights GMU’s emphasis on student engagement, academic excellence, and preparing future healthcare professionals with a global perspective.
