Legacy in Action: Masterclass by GMU Alumni

The College of Medicine, Gulf Medical University, successfully conducted SKILLFEST 2025, a hands-on clinical skills workshop designed and delivered by accomplished GMU Alumni, now distinguished clinicians and educators across various specialties.

Workshop Highlights

1. Alumni-Led Skill Stations

Participants rotated through a series of structured stations covering essential clinical and procedural competencies. Each station was expertly led by GMU Alumni, bringing strong clinical relevance and real-world insight to the training.

2. Fun Clinical Quiz & Competitive Learning

Toward the end of the workshop, participants took part in a fast-paced clinical quiz, adding excitement, teamwork, and application of knowledge to the day.
Top-performing teams were recognized and awarded certificates.

3. Competency Assessment

To reinforce learning and ensure practice-readiness, participants completed a structured competency assessment, enabling them to demonstrate procedural accuracy, instrument handling, patient-safety principles, and overall confidence.
This evaluation helped learners understand their performance levels and identify areas for further improvement.
