The College of Medicine, Gulf Medical University, has achieved a significant milestone with Dr. Julia Qamar Bilalaga (2020M008) being awarded the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Best Research in Healthcare Award. The award was conferred for her research titled “Real-World Physical Activity and Risk of Eye Diseases,” conducted under the All of Us Research Program.
This prestigious award recognizes outstanding young research talent and promotes a strong culture of scientific inquiry and innovation in healthcare. Winners are selected based on the scientific quality, originality, and impact of their submitted research work, reflecting meaningful contributions to the advancement of healthcare.
The research was conducted in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University.
