
The College of Medicine at Gulf Medical University proudly announces the promotion of several distinguished faculty members in recognition of their academic excellence, research contributions, and commitment to medical education.
From the Department of Biomedical Sciences, the following faculty have been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor:
- Dr. Eman Hassan Ibrahim Hassanein (Pathology)
- Dr. Miral Salama (Anatomy and Embryology)
- Dr. Pallav Sengupta (Physiology)
- Dr. Nazeerullah Rahamathullah (Microbiology and Immunology)
From the Department of Community Medicine, the following faculty have been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor:
- Dr. Mohammed Abdulrazzaq (Occupational Health)
- Dr. Jayakumary Muttappallymyalil (Community Medicine)
These promotions reflect the institution’s continued commitment to academic excellence, innovation in teaching, and impactful research that advance healthcare education and practice.
Congratulating the faculty on their achievements, Prof. Salman Yousuf Guraya, Dean of the College of Medicine, commended their dedication and significant contributions to the university. He emphasized that such milestones not only recognize individual accomplishments but also strengthen the academic and research profile of the college.

Prof. Nelofar Sami Khan, Head of the Department of Biomedical Sciences; Prof. Shatha Alsharbati, Head of the Department of Community Medicine; and Dr. Pankaj Lamba, Head of the Department of Clinical Sciences, also congratulated the faculty on their well-deserved achievements and acknowledged their valuable contributions to teaching, research, and service.
Prof. Manda Venkatramana, Chancellor of Gulf Medical University, also extended his congratulations, highlighting that faculty development and recognition are central to the university’s vision of academic leadership.
