The College of Medicine, Gulf Medical University (GMU), extends its heartfelt congratulations to the latest graduates of the GMU–Medical University of Lublin (MUL), Poland Pathway, who received their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees during the convocation ceremony held on June 23, 2026, at the Medical University of Lublin, Poland.
Representing Gulf Medical University at the ceremony were Dr. Thumbay Mohideen, Founder President of Gulf Medical University, Prof. Manda Venkatraman, Chancellor of Gulf Medical University, and Prof. Tatjana Ille, the Program Director of the Thumbay International Pathway for Medicine, who joined the graduates, their families, and the leadership of the Medical University of Lublin in celebrating this important milestone. They congratulated the graduates on their achievement and wished them every success as they embark on their professional careers.
The convocation also marked another significant milestone for the partnership between Gulf Medical University and the Medical University of Lublin. Now in its tenth year, the Thumbay International Pathway – Poland has grown from an inaugural cohort of 27 students in 2017 to an internationally recognized program that has welcomed more than 650 students from over 60 nationalities.
The pathway offers a structured 3+3 medical education model, enabling students to complete their pre-clinical education at Gulf Medical University before progressing to the Medical University of Lublin for their clinical training and graduation with a European MD degree.
The College of Medicine takes pride in the continued success of this longstanding collaboration and congratulates all the new graduates. Their achievements reflect the dedication of the students, faculty, and both partner institutions in delivering high-quality medical education and preparing future physicians for global healthcare.
