Final-year MBBS student Adhya Miriam Tom has been honored with the prestigious Blue Ribbon Award by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) after her research poster was shortlisted among the top 10 out of 116 submissions.
Her award-winning paper, titled “Mastering Medical Pedagogy – Crafting a New Model for Lecture Delivery,” presents an innovative framework aimed at enhancing effectiveness, engagement, and retention in medical lectures. The work highlights structured pedagogical design, learner-centered delivery, and integration of evidence-based teaching strategies to optimize medical education outcomes.
The award was presented during the Medical Education Conference held in North Carolina, United States on January 30. The STFM Blue Ribbon distinction recognizes exceptional scholarly contributions and educational innovation in family medicine and health professions education.
