Dr. Nada Tawfig Hashim Ahmed
Dr. Nada Tawfig Hashim Ahmed, BDS, MSc, HDLD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Periodontology at RAK College of Dental Sciences, RAK Medical & Health Sciences University, UAE, and Associate Professor at the University of Khartoum, Sudan. She earned her PhD in Periodontology through a joint program between the University of Khartoum and Queen’s University Belfast. Her academic career spans over two decades, during which she has held leadership roles, including Head of the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at the University of Khartoum. Dr. Hashim’s research focuses on the microbiological and genetic underpinnings of periodontal disease, host modulation, and molecular pathways linking periodontal and systemic health. She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, authored book chapters, and supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate theses.
