On May 5, 2026, the Department of Medical Imaging Sciences at College of Health Sciences (CoHS), Gulf Medical University (GMU) convened its Advisory Committee Meeting-2026, bringing together academic leaders, clinical practitioners, industry professionals, and alumni to discuss the future direction of the MSc in Medical Ultrasound Program.
The meeting focused on strengthening academic quality, enhancing clinical training opportunities, and advancing industry collaborations to ensure graduates are equipped with globally recognized competencies.

Dr. Praveen Kumar, Dean CoHS, highlighted the vital role of the Advisory Committee in supporting continuous program development and fostering academic excellence through collaborative expertise. Associate Dean and Program Chair Dr. Mohammad Rawashdeh welcomed attendees and presented the department’s strategic roadmap, encouraging valuable feedback and discussion.
A key highlight of the meeting was the emphasis on expanding partnerships with healthcare institutions and industry stakeholders to provide students with enriched practical learning experiences aligned with local healthcare regulations and international accreditation standards.
