BSc. MLS students, CoHS, GMU celebrated the Medical Laboratory Professionals Week on April 29th and May 1st, 2024. This week serves as a tribute to the important role played by medical laboratory professionals in healthcare and patient advocacy.
Students raised awareness and spread information about the field of laboratory medicine. On the first day, they engaged visitors by providing insightful information about various hematological and microbiological diseases. Additionally, they offered demonstrations on the usage of laboratory examination devices and equipment.
On the second day, a seminar titled “The Latest Technologies and Advances in Laboratories Today” was organized. BSc. MSL students presented cutting-edge topics, including:
- Ms. Miftha Hul Jannet: Next Generation Sequencing
- Ms. Srija Manimaran: The Six Sigma in Clinical Laboratory
- Ms. Aysha Dilna: New Technologies for Point-of-Care Testing
This event not only celebrated the dedication of medical laboratory professionals but also served as a platform for exploring the innovations shaping the future of medical laboratory.
