Dr. Watson from Department of Physiotherapy, CoHS, GMU Contributes to National Academic Webinar on MSK Imaging

Dr. Watson Arulsingh, Associate Professor, Department of Physiotherapy, College of Health Sciences, GMU, served as the resource person for a webinar organized by Alva’s College of Physiotherapy and Research Centre, Karnataka, India. The webinar, titled “Pros and Cons of Imaging Sciences in Screening Musculoskeletal Disorders,” was held on 9 January 2026.

The session offered a balanced and evidence-based perspective on the role of imaging in musculoskeletal screening. Dr. Watson explained how imaging supports clinical practice by helping identify red flags, confirm suspected pathology, and assist in complex clinical decision-making. At the same time, he addressed important limitations, including incidental findings in asymptomatic individuals, radiation exposure, cost concerns, and the risk of unnecessary investigations.
