Dr. Renuka Devi Mahadevan – Assistant Professor at the College of Health Sciences, Gulf Medical University (GMU) contributed as a resource person in the Faculty Enrichment Program organized by RVS College of Physiotherapy, Bangalore, India, on August 5, 2025.
The workshop, titled “Empowering Physiotherapy Educators: A Primer on Foundations of Pedagogy and Assessment,” brought together participants and passionate educators from across India. The program focused on advancing teaching excellence in physiotherapy education, with sessions covering adult learning principles, curriculum design, competency-based education, ethics, and assessment strategies.
With the National Commission for Allied and Health Professions (NCAHP) framework set to come into effect in 2026, the program emphasized the importance of strengthening pedagogical skills among educators to meet the evolving academic and professional standards.
Collaborating with esteemed educators, including Dr. K. A. Narayan, Dr. Vijay Samuel Raj V, and Dr. Rashmi Dharan, the workshop highlighted the power of knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and innovation in teaching.
Reflecting on the experience, Dr. Renuka Devi stated: “This opportunity at RVS College reaffirmed my belief that empowering educators is the first step toward empowering students.”
