Department of Physiotherapy, College of Health Sciences (CoHS), Gulf Medical University (GMU) proudly showcased its commitment to advancing physiotherapy education. Dr. Renuka Devi Mahadevan – Assistant Professor, CoHS contributed as a resource person on the theme – ‘Transforming Physiotherapy Education’ – at a workshop titled “Empowering Physiotherapy Educators: A Primer on Foundations of Pedagogy and Assessment,” organized by RVS College of Physiotherapy, Coimbatore – India on 02 August 2025.
Drawing on enriching experiences at leading institutions, the faculty member highlighted the value of innovative pedagogy, curriculum design, and evidence-based teaching. Their journey includes training at Gulf Medical University, Ajman (UAE), the MHPE program at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, and foundational learning at JSS College of Physiotherapy, Mysore.
These diverse experiences came together meaningfully during the national workshop, collaborating with eminent educator Dr. K. A. Narayan, alongside Dr. Vijay Samuel Raj V, and engaging with faculty from across India, reaffirmed their commitment to fostering evidence-based and innovative teaching practices in physiotherapy education.
