Dr. Jameel Rizwana Hussaindeen, Program Director and Associate Professor of the Department of Optometry & Vision Sciences at College of Health Sciences (CoHS), GMU, delivered two invited webinar presentations at the Middle East Africa Ophthalmology Meeting (MEOM 2025), held from October 30 to November 1, 2025. Her talks, titled “Beyond Acuity: Modern Approaches to Amblyopia Assessment and Management” and “Binocular Vision in Pediatric Eye Care – Diagnosis Made Easy,” drew attention to modern clinical approaches in pediatric and binocular vision care.
Presented virtually, these sessions highlighted GMU’s strong academic and professional presence at a major regional scientific forum.
Dr. Praveen Kumar, Dean, CoHS, congratulated Dr. Rizwana on this achievement and commended her for representing the university on an international platform, emphasizing that such contributions strengthen GMU’s commitment to advancing evidence-based and globally relevant optometric education.
