Department of Physiotherapy – CoHS, GMU successfully conducted a career advising session on February 24th, 2025. The session was titled “Physiotherapy Internship Opportunities and UAE Licensing Procedures” catered to undergraduate students.
Facilitated by Dr. Sathees Kumar, the session aimed to provide students with comprehensive understanding of the pathway to becoming a practicing physiotherapist in the UAE.
The interactive session covered:
- Internship Opportunities: Exploring various internship options available to physiotherapy students in the UAE, including clinical placements and research opportunities.
- UAE Licensing Procedures: Guiding students through the process of obtaining a professional license to practice physiotherapy in the UAE, including requirements, exam and registration.
Dean, CoHS Dr. Praveen Kumar stated, “We are proud to have faculty like Dr. Sathees Kumar for sharing his expertise, mentoring and guiding our students. This event provided valuable insights into the licensing process, career opportunities and challenges empowering students to make informed decisions about their future and preparing them for successful careers .”
