Gulf Medical University (GMU) successfully organized its Career Fair and Industry Partners Meet 2026 on 11 February 2026 at the GMU campus. The event saw participation from top healthcare institutions and industry leaders, providing students and graduates a platform to network, explore career opportunities, and gain insights from experienced professionals.

The inauguration was graced by Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder of Thumbay Group, attended as the chief guest and emphasized nurturing talent and bridging academia with industry needs. Prof. Manda Venkatramana, Chancellor of GMU, who welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of university-industry collaborations.
The fair featured multiple panel discussions, including an HR Panel, a GMU Deans Panel, and a CEO/Medical Directors Panel, giving attendees practical perspectives on career growth, recruitment trends, and professional expectations. An award ceremony recognized distinguished industry partners, followed by a CV-building workshop to help students build professional profiles.

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOTHERAPY
The Department of Physiotherapy leveraged the Career Fair to engage students with leading healthcare institutions and provide exposure to real-world clinical settings. It acknowledged key partners such as King’s College Hospital London, Dubai, Al Noor Rehabilitation Centre for People of Determination, Dubai, and Thumbay Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital for their ongoing support in student clinical training and professional development. This collaboration highlights GMU’s commitment to producing skilled, industry-ready physiotherapy professionals.

DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCES
The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences utilized the fair to connect students with industry professionals and offer them valuable exposure to job market dynamics. It acknowledged key partners like Pure Lab at Al Qassimi Hospital – Sharjah, and the Sharjah Blood Transfusion & Research Centre for supporting student clinical training and placements. This engagement underlines the university’s dedication to nurturing competent, industry-ready laboratory science professionals.

DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAL IMAGING SCIENCES
The Department of Medical Imaging Sciences engaged students with prominent radiology and imaging institutions to provide practical insights into diagnostic services and emerging technologies. It acknowledged key partners including Thumbay University Hospital, Ajman, Thumbay Hospital, Ajman, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City – Ajman, and Al-Qassimi Women’s and Child’s Hospital – Sharjah for their continued support in student clinical training and professional exposure. This reflects GMU’s focus on developing skilled imaging professionals ready for industry demands.

DEPARTMENT OF ANESTHESIA TECHNOLOGY
The Department of Anesthesia Technology used the fair to expose students to diverse clinical practices and advanced anesthesia techniques. It acknowledged key partners such as Al Jalila Hospital and King’s College Hospital London, Dubai for providing hands-on training opportunities and mentorship. This collaboration demonstrates GMU’s commitment to preparing highly competent anesthesia technology professionals for the healthcare sector.
