The Department of Medical Imaging Sciences at the College of Health Sciences (CoHS), Gulf Medical University (GMU) conducted a Career Advising Session titled on “Expanding Boundaries: Career Pathways for BSc MIS Graduates.” On Thursday, 23 April 2026.

Career Advising Session for BSc MIS Graduates

The session was delivered by Ms. Nikhitha Shetty, Lecturer in the Department of Medical Imaging Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Gulf Medical University. Drawing on her academic expertise and professional experience, She guided students through a comprehensive exploration of the diverse career opportunities available to BSc MIS graduates both within the UAE and internationally.

The session focused on broadening students’ understanding of the scope of their degree beyond conventional radiography practice. Key topics included advanced specialization pathways, postgraduate study opportunities, research prospects, and emerging roles within the rapidly evolving field of medical imaging. Students were also introduced to the skills and qualifications that can enhance their employability and competitiveness in the healthcare sector.
