The College of Dentistry (CoD), Gulf Medical University (GMU), organized a webinar titled ‘The Management of Emergency Situations for Inclusive Classrooms’ in collaboration with Manzil Center for their trainers on the 25th of November 2025. The webinar was delivered by Prof. Sura Ali Fouad Al-Bayati, Professor of Oral Medicine and Head of the Department of Diagnostic and Surgical Dental Sciences, CoD, GMU.
The session focused on the management of emergency situations in inclusive classroom settings, with emphasis on early recognition and appropriate response to medical and dental emergencies. Scientific discussions covered airway emergencies, syncope, seizure management, allergic reactions, and basic life support principles adapted for individuals with varied abilities. The importance of risk assessment, preparedness, and evidence-based emergency protocols was highlighted to ensure safety in inclusive learning environments.
The webinar contributed to enhancing the knowledge and confidence of the trainers in managing emergency situations effectively.
