Prof. Sura Ali Fuoad Al-Bayati, Professor of Oral Medicine and Head, Department of Diagnostic and Surgical Dental Sciences represented the College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University at the Post-MI Interprofessional Symposium held on the 18th of November 2025. The event was co-organized by the College of Medicine, College of Dentistry, College of Nursing, College of Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy, and Thumbay University Hospital.
The focused webinar brought together experts from various health disciplines to discuss interprofessional approaches to caring for patients recovering from myocardial infarction (MI). Prof. Sura as one of the panelists, contributed insightful perspectives on the dental considerations in post-MI care, emphasizing the importance of interprofessional collaboration for comprehensive patient management. Her participation highlighted the vital role of oral healthcare professionals in systemic disease care pathways.
